Product Description
Acidic condensate neutralizing ceramic media is specially developed for treating acidic condensate water generated by equipment such as condensing gas boilers, water heaters and HVAC systems.
During operation, these systems produce condensate water with a pH value typically between 2.9 and 4. If discharged directly, it can corrode pipelines, damage equipment and fail to meet environmental discharge regulations.
This ceramic media is made from natural inorganic mineral materials, including calcium carbonate, silicon oxide and magnesium oxide. These materials are processed into ceramic balls through granulation and high-temperature firing.
The product provides stable and long-lasting performance in neutralizing acidic water while maintaining structural integrity during continuous use.
Working Principle
Ion Release Mechanism
The ceramic media gradually releases calcium ions (Ca²⁺) and magnesium ions (Mg²⁺), which react with acidic substances in condensate water and increase pH value.Neutralization Reaction
The released alkaline ions neutralize common acids such as nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, bringing the water to a neutral or slightly alkaline condition.Additional Adsorption Effect
The porous structure of the ceramic balls allows partial adsorption of impurities and heavy metal ions, improving overall water quality.
Product Features
Safe and Environmentally Friendly
The material does not contain harmful substances and does not cause secondary pollution. It meets international safety standards.
Long Service Life
The microporous slow-release structure increases surface area and allows controlled mineral release, resulting in a lifespan up to five times longer than conventional neutralizing media.
High Mechanical Strength
The ceramic structure ensures high hardness and durability. The media does not easily break, dissolve or produce residue during operation.
Stable Neutralization Performance
The product provides consistent pH adjustment and maintains stable performance under continuous flow conditions.
Installation & Usage
Place the ceramic media into the neutralization chamber or tank
Ensure sufficient contact between condensate water and media
Select appropriate filling quantity based on system size and acidity level
Replace periodically depending on usage conditions
Applications
Condensing gas boilers
Water heaters
HVAC condensate systems
Air conditioning drainage systems
Chemical processing equipment
Food processing industries
This product ensures compliance with discharge standards while protecting equipment and infrastructure.
